Ask Stacey

Stacey He“I don’t think being a financial planner will ever be easy because this career deals with human emotions, desires, fears and people’s money. But as a financial planner, if we are empathetic and patient, and always put ourselves in our clients’ shoes, then we will always know what’s best for them" -Stacey He

Having a financial planner working with you is like having a human GPS that tells you exactly what you need to do to get to where you want to be financially. When you go on a road trip, you rely on your GPS to prevent you from getting lost, it redirects you when you are on the wrong path, and you know it will get you to your destination in the most efficient way possible.

Imagine your financial planner as your human GPS. You may know what your financial goals are (retirement, saving for kids’ education, starting a business) but you may not know the most efficient way to get there. Your financial planner is there to guide you, provide advice on what to do to reach your financial goals in the most effective way, and to prevent you from making costly mistakes.

We all understand what budgeting is, that we should curb our spending, and avoid unnecessary debts.  We also know that saving and investing is important. If we understand all of this, why don’t we do it? Because we don’t know how and it’s not easy!

To reach your financial goals, you need to know the right actions to take and also to develop good financial habits. Sometimes without guidance, we just don’t know how to change. A financial planner is someone who is there to guide you, provide you with advice and hold you accountable, and to help you change your financial habits and reach all your financial goals.
